Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! This year for Christmas the best gift that I received was having all of my family be together in one house! Wow, now that has been a while, but I totally loved it! I could not be happier, and by far it beats the presents that could have under the tree! My family is so funny when we get together. My ditsy twin sister was so excited to show me her footsie pajamas that when she came prancing down the stairs, she slipped and ran into our kitchen wall, the corner of it and dented it, ha I am so surprised that she didn't break her knee, but the poor wall ha! I hope that we can remember the true meaning of Christmas. Presents are wonderful, but that is not what Christmas is about. It's about remembering the birth of Christ and all the sacrifices that he made for us during his life. I love this season, and I love how close everyone becomes at this time! The miracles are countless and and magnificent, it's amazing to see how everyone sacrifices things for other people, even when there is noting to be given. I also love, at Christmas time, all of the lights on the houses, it brightens up peoples moods about the holiday, and some are very creative.

Yesterday, I was able to go snowboarding for my second time, with my cousins. It was so so much fun, even though I fell countless times, I had the time of my life! We went to Brighton and when I was coming down Crest, I took a pretty hard fall, except this time, instead of falling on my bum, I fell forward on my knees, I have a swollen and bruised knee, yippie! I guess that's what you get for it being your second time and the last time I went, was a year ago. Snowboarding is so thrilling and is a way good work out! Since I just had a whole bunch of mouth work done, I wore a mouth guard, ha I got lots of comments on it. And my teeth survived and I worked hard to stay up, and finally my last couple runs, I was able to stand up, but my legs were so tired they would just give out on me, I guess that's what you get for snowboarding for 7 1/2 hours and it being your second time!

How I almost died ha ha, the on the left (my right one) is way swollen

What being in college has taught me

I know I have been terrible at writing on my blog the past couple of months. School has engulfed my attention and honestly blogging has been the last on my priority list. I wanted to write blog about my college experience... since I graduate in 53 days. I am thrilled beyond words to be this close to being done. I had know idea it would feel like this nor that it would come so soon. In just a few short months I will be able to call myself a graduate of Health Promotion and Education with an emphasis in Community, also being eligible to become CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certified. Wow what a mouthful! Being in college was not like I expected, it was much more. I have been through the worst of worst and the best of best experiences. I would like to share with you what I have learned in the past four years (From beginning to end), I hope you can get a good laugh about it. To those who have yet to start college, I strongly encourage you to start thinking about going. You w...

The journey of my new smile...

I felt like blogging about the journey of getting my new smile. Oh boy! It sure has been a long, painful, and exciting process. In May of  2000 I was riding my bike, like a big girl (I was 8) with a bunch of my siblings and cousins, to my grandma's church (which was just down the street from where she lives. Staying on the side of the road as instructed, there was a man hole cover that was not pushed down all the way. Being toward the back of the bike line I didn't notice that it was up about three or so inches. Everyone else had dodged it and went around it. I, going full speed to keep up went straight over it and flipped over my bike handle bar, bike still in hand I landed on my stomach. I got up, a little dizzy and discombobulated got up thinking that was pretty sweet that I survived that epic crash. I didn't know how bad it was until my sister Kelsey started screaming "Kacey! Kacey! You have blood running down your face!" I immediately put my hand to my face a...
